Are there any people more foolish than climate change deniers?

Well yeah, there are: the "Stop the Steal / election fraud" crowd trump them, but you need to be pretty closed-minded or pretty brainwashed not to recognize the reality of global warming.

Bye-bye, glaciers.

Hello, rising sea levels.

Greetings, drought.

AFAICT, even if you could convince our resident deniers of manmade climate change, they don't plan to support doing anything about it anyway.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

I wonder why that is?

They must hate their kids as much as they hate themselves.

What a legacy we're giving to our heirs ...

The reaction to the coronavirus gives one a pretty good idea of the resistance to scientific information. Even when we got hard data that hasn't been good enough for some.

Well, there is the crowd that thinks there are more than 2 genders.
That think you can just change your gender.
And that fight to let men compete in women's sports because the man thinks he is a woman.

Yes, people believed a little mask was the difference between life and death. Then they lived in total fear when they had a 99.5% survival rate assuming they even caught it in the first place.

Then the resisted the information that Hydroxychloroquine was a very useful treatment because Trump mentioned it and their Trump hate was more important than saving lives. Some even suggested Hydroxychloroquine itself was dangerous.

The amount of people who ignore science but think they listen to science is totally baffling.

Notice how Duffy’s two posts above are just complete “whatabout-isms”? Gender roles! Hydroxychloroquine!

It’s like a best hits list of today’s conservative obsessions.

I am not a denier, but I also believe that it is not worth doing anything to try and change it. I believe people should adapt or die.

Why not try to change it, if it is in our power to do so and if it will lead to a better world for our descendants?

What makes you think stopping climate change will make a better world for our descendants?
