Too bad, you seemingly haven't learned much of value.

I agree, though I am so happy I have gotten beyond getting wrapped up in it. .

Way too many people have no lives so they let sports fill in the gap. Sports becomes a real thing, it becomes actually important in your life that a certain team wins. You get totally emotionally wrapped up in it. I saw this at a very early age and avoided it. It all seemed so sad and pointless. Way too many tombstones could say on them "He watched a LOT of sports"

Sports provide several benefits.

Stimulation / excitement / entertainment.

Social contact, when watched / discussed with others.

Exercise, for the participants.

Oh, and as an added benefit you can bet them.

Sports are for kids. Armchair QB's should get off their butts and organize or help local youth get active and learn to have fun being physically active.

Or at least that's how I see it.

Just saw a map showing where the covid outbreak is the worst. Not on the East Coast not in the northern states. It's from the Iowa Missouri border south and west to the California Nevada border. Vegas is in bright red. I'm still treating covid just like I did a year ago I'm not going anywhere or doing anything. I ordered some stuff from Home Depot got a curbside pickup didn't have to get out of my van. Not going back to the casino till they reinstate valet parking. You tell me the pandemic is over you but can't let somebody park my car? What kind of message does that send.

Fabulous drama
Watching Youtube
The classic old fights really fascinate me
Jack Johnson Tommy Burns (Jack wins the title)
Jack Johnson James Jeffries (Jack beats the great white hope and former champ in the fight of the century)
Jack Johnson Jess Willard (Jack loses the title)
There were riots over these fight results. People so passionate, films of the fights were banned, especially the 1st 2 due to a Black man beating a white man

Not me.

I got vaccinated.

I sometimes have to wonder at your level of education: did you finish high school?

While you have an opinion on everything I note many if not most of your beliefs seem contrary to what most of us would consider normal or mainstream.

Except if you are far left you are prone to consider what is normal to be "radical."

Why is everyone so desperate to categorize people as, "Far Left," or, "Far Right?"

Missedhervee is clearly a mostly socially liberal and economically conservative Libertarian. How can someone so economically conservative be considered, by anyone, to be, "Far Left?"

Seriously, do you not read any of his posts? He's probably to my right on economic issues.*

*When discussing state-level as opposed to Federal politics, I tend to go from extremely Conservative (Federal) to fairly moderate (state-level) mostly because I don't think it should be any of the Federal Government's business.

I am not very nationalistic. I will not root for someone just because they are representing the U.S. I may have other reasons to root for a U.S. athlete, but I am just as likely rooting for whomever the underdog is.

I definitely pull for the underdogs in Basketball! I usually just pick some smaller country and go for them, then switch when they get knocked out.
