Once again you are wrong. Only a small part of the city is a mess..

It's the downtown area, for crying out loud. It's the center of the city itself. It's not some suburb nobody ever goes to, get real.

What do you do with this, ignore it? Multiply it by 50 and that's Portland.

Of course
I'm not EB scouring the internet looking for pics to prove his point
I'm out there living life to the fullest taking my own pics
Somebody tells me Portland is over, I'll check myself instead of going to the internet
More coming
All taken by yours truly
I use my camera phone and to zoom, have a point and shoot with 8X optical zoom

She owns a restaurant pretty much destroyed by the mess that is Portland but is so woke she cannot call out the problems.

The most glaring problem today with Portland is the homeless issue, and it's not limited to here.

The riots and mayhem have ended, at least for now.

Blame it on what you will: covid craziness, a limp-wristed mayor, whatever: it has changed the way the world views stumptown for the worst.

No, it's not "over" but this is no longer a place I'd want to move to seeking a better life, like I did in 1976.

Too bad, it was a fun ride while it lasted.

I'm sure you are wrong. While you were gone terrapined reported that it was the most wonderful place he's ever visited in the United States. He could find absolutely nothing wrong with it and it was a delight down every street. You think I'm joking go and read read his posts in this thread.

I read it.

He's a liberal: 'nuf said.

They eat granola, swap boot-legged tapes of Dead concerts, and hug trees.

Me, I vote Libertarian: I eat what I want, listen to what I want, and ignore trees.

I see it everywhere
Yea PDX has a lot
Eugene vs Springfield is an interesting dynamic. 2 towns right next to each other
Eugene leans left and tries to deal with the issue where as Springfield leans right and doesn't allow it
Whos right?
