I Love Walmart & Amazon

Mostly stuff that comes from overseas like peppercorns, Spanish smoked paprika, sardines, different kinds of nuts, pink Himalayan salt. Buying it all by the pound. So far so good, have not run into any problems with any of it. But I'm not taking a chance that's still going to be true in January. Spanish smoked paprika, I could not live without it.  If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I usually get 20 lb bags at Target but I just saw that Home Depot as an even better deal $9 for 20 lb. I just ordered 80 lb. And two 40 lb bags of black sunflower seeds. By watching the birds eat it while I'm eating lunch and dinner. I have two feeders identical to this outside my office window. Very entertaining.  If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

That is nice. The only birds that I see regularly in my backyard are pigeons and Hummingbirds. We will get the occasional Dove, Roadrunner, Hawk, or Quail. Not very often. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

I use a lot of chicken broth and a can was fifty cents for years and all of a sudden is 67 cents. That's a 33% increase. The shaved deli ham that I buy was $3.79 a pound now it's $4.59 a pound. These are not small increases. And I'm having problems with items being shipped to me by Walmart which has never happened in the past. Last week I had to cancel two items because they were delayed indefinitely and this week the same thing is happening. I'm probably not as aware as other people of the prices going up because I buy mostly unprocessed foods. The prices of things like veggies and dairy seem to be stable. Although I hear milk has gone up but I haven't drank milk since I was a kid. Awful stuff if you're an adult. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
