I remember my dad told us about how he had a job trying to sell life insurance door to door. He didn't make it sound like a fun job. It was a great day if he got even 1 sale for walking all day. Wouldn't be surprised if the guy at the top was living it up.

When I was in pest control we had a couple units went door to door in various cities. The ones that worked out best were Mormons who were used to it. They said the average one wore out two pair of shoes over a summer. No thanks.

That is awesome. Be the boss and hire the right people and you shouldn't have to work.

The hard part is hiring the right people. That was not my strong suit in business.

I hope nobody who ever worked for me reads this.

All other things being equal, I would probably hire a Mormon too. Most I've known were good hard-working honest people.

Ah, those Mormons.

Without them and the money they loaned to the early Las Vegas mobster-run casinos sin city would not be what it is today.

How many have even heard of E. Parry Thomas and are aware of his contributions?

I agree, as a general observation I would say the Mormon families that I have known have been true genuine good and trustworthy people. Sadly, I can't say that about many groups of people.

I grew up in Ohio and there were lots of Amish communities. I didn't know any personally but I did enjoy their cheese and bologna.

In the mid nighties I went to Shipshewana Indiana every Wednesday in the summer for the auction and there's always a lot of Amish there. Never met one that was not a stuck-up asshole. Even the women. They're very clannish and they really think they are God's gift and that we are beneath them. They don't believe in banks so the men carry around these bank rolls held together with rubber bands that are literally the size of a softball in there farmer jeans. Thousands of dollars. I've seen them buy things for six or seven hundred dollars get out the bankroll and count it off. Funny thing about the Amish is so many of them are alcoholics. The liquor store on the way home in Indiana and I would stop there and Amish people pull up in their buggies at the back door come inside and grab a paper bag that has their name on it and hustle out. The owner told me they can't be seen coming in the front door so they have a standing order and they sneak in the back door and get it. He said without the Amish hand their vodka he would go out of business. In the movie Witness where Harrison Ford lives in the Amish community for a while I think that was a pretty fair depiction of what jerks they are.

Naomi Judd.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?
