Exactly. I am waiting for this to cause a fracture in the feminist movement. You have the wing of the feminist movement saying "They're women!" and the ones who are more sensible. Outside chance it could cause a "fourth wave" of feminism. The current wave of feminism is destined to implode so maybe this is it?

NASCAR is as much a sport as say horse racing. I do not get why people say it is not one. Joe Gibbs said winning one NASCAR race was harder than winning the Superbowl.

If you make the team based on your athletic merits in the sport, then you belong. What are you going to do---basically tell girls that they may not play football at any level unless there is a girls' league created? Obviously, playing for almost all schools is not going to be an option unless they play with the boys.

If the girl is good enough at football to legitimately make the team, then why the hell shouldn't she play?

Don't worry; I don't think that girls playing high school football is going to bring about a dystopian future, or the Endtimes, or whatever you think that the case would be. Do you think Danica Patrick did not belong in NASCAR? In terms of average finish, she was better in her career than Kyle Petty at a few tracks...(compared to Kyle Petty because he's a driver I can name...mostly because of the video game with his name on it).

This is not, "Brave New World," maybe not...but it's also not 1855 where men have to be separated from women in all aspects of life.

I'm saying in the moment of running a race and getting positively smoked because you are a girl competing against a boy, records do not matter. The fact that you were made to run a race where you are supposedly running against other girls and had to run against a boy who magically decided he was instead a girl one day is what matters.

This isn't about respect, acceptance or any politically correct niceties. There is a thing called sex and, in terms of sex, if you are a male you shouldn't be permitted to compete against females in sports---especially not amateur sports---because it's palpably competitively unfair.

I don't even know how you can make the, 'Feelings,' argument because if you're going to do that, then you would also have to consider the, 'Feelings,' of the biological girls participating who are getting smoked in events where they never had a chance to begin with. You can't coach height or muscle mass.

Anyway, that's when the gloves come off for me because now a person is getting unfair advantages because they magically woke up one day and decided that they were a girl. I'll play along with a person's delusions out of politeness to the extent that those delusions aren't to the detriment of myself or anyone else...but when a person is starting to get special privileges as a result of harboring delusions as to that person's sex/gender, that's where I'm going to draw the line.

I've got to be honest with you, I don't really spend a whole hell of a lot of time thinking about the greater implications on feminism that different things have or what wave of feminism we are in or about to be in.

I'm against cheating in sports. I'm against pretending that men/boys are women/girls so that they can pretend that they are good at something when, by their sex, they wouldn't be.

That's really what this is about at the amateur level---You can take boys who are laughably bad at a sport when compared to other boys, but then let the laughably bad boys pretend that they are girls and then they go over to the girls division and smoke the competition.

The only difference between a boy doing the same thing is that this person claims that he is delusional and believes himself to be a girl. At best, he is actually delusional and believes that he is a girl, at worst, he's AP'ing the thing, does not believe himself to be a girl, but is happy to take a relatively effortless 1st place.

You look at Connecticut; do you think that's bad? Can you imagine if the pair would have actually been good even in the boys division? Those girls were screwed against boys who would not even qualify to compete against other boys.

Well, I was just curious how you would take the AP angle. How many gamblers would enhance their body to win money consistently against other gamblers or the casino if that were possible?

Guess it depends on what was required. Certainly more than zero.
