Well, I was just curious how you would take the AP angle. How many gamblers would enhance their body to win money consistently against other gamblers or the casino if that were possible?

Guess it depends on what was required. Certainly more than zero.

I end my post with "Deflated Footballs" Is someone always using an angle at the high competition level? Good question.

Deflategate was a hit job. They never conclusively proved anything and merely decided it was, "More likely than not," that it happened, was deliberate and that Tom Brady was, "Generally aware," of it. In other words, the NFL couldn't prove its case and suspended Brady anyway.

I also don't want to hear about Spygate because virtually everyone was doing that; Tomlin even as much as admitted that the Steelers were doing it, but it was the Patriots who got caught.

I don't know what level of cheating goes on in the professional ranks, but I should imagine that there are some areas of things considered, "Gray areas," and that many are going to do whatever they think they can get away with. That said, I'm honestly more concerned with amateur sport than I am with professional sport anyway. Professional sports are mainly a, "Cross that bridge when we get there," sort of thing...and also the leagues can address it in their own rules however they want to, so we're not talking about something like High School sports where various levels of Government are deciding that boys can compete against girls by virtue of claiming they are girls and really apropos of nothing else. Biologically speaking, the boys have mostly not even begun to lose much of their natural advantages of being boys at most amateur levels.

You could probably forget about ever seeing a woman play professional basketball.

Sadly, I have seen women play professional basketball and I am still trying to forget about it.

If you make the team based on your athletic merits in the sport, then you belong. What are you going to do---basically tell girls that they may not play football at any level unless there is a girls' league created? Obviously, playing for almost all schools is not going to be an option unless they play with the boys.

Yes, that is what I am going to tell them.

If the girl is good enough at football to legitimately make the team, then why the hell shouldn't she play?

For one for her own safety. Same as why the NFL has a de facto age limit of 20 to play.

Don't worry; I don't think that girls playing high school football is going to bring about a dystopian future, or the Endtimes, or whatever you think that the case would be. Do you think Danica Patrick did not belong in NASCAR? In terms of average finish, she was better in her career than Kyle Petty at a few tracks...(compared to Kyle Petty because he's a driver I can name...mostly because of the video game with his name on it).

This is not, "Brave New World," maybe not...but it's also not 1855 where men have to be separated from women in all aspects of life.

I have heard a lot of people say she was awful in NASCAR. But I hand it to Richard Petty. When she was making the jump to NASCAR from open wheels the announcers and everybody who was asked did the PC thing saying "she will do great!" Except Petty. he said she was going to struggle at first, same as anyone who makes that switch would, as it is not the same kind of racing and you must adjust. In fact the best she ever finished was 6th. If she was not attractive she would not have gotten near the attention she did.

How many billions must be wasted on the WNBA before they realize how few people want to watch?

Not true, she finished first at the Indy Japan 300. She never won a Nascar race.

I support that the NBA is financially supporting them so the women have some opportunities but I have no interest in watching them.

The discussion was about her in NASCAR.

25 years now, they should be walking on their own. OTOH it is their money to waste.

Well, if you think that girls playing football is the harbinger of total societal collapse, then your position is simply too ridiculous to be worth arguing against.

If the concern is to maximize safety, then boys shouldn't play football either. If she wants to play football and deems it worth the risk, and she can make the team on her athletic merit as a football player, then she should get to play football. Why should a person be deprived of getting to play organized football just because they were born a female? I don't think a person should get special treatment, but if she's being treated the same as the boys and legitimately earns her roster spot, then the only word I can think of to describe that is, "Awesome." She's playing in a boys (typically) sport and holding her own out there; that's awesome.

I do agree with you that she might not have gotten as much attention if she was unattractive, but if with attention comes sponsorships and with sponsorships comes money---what do you want her to do-categorically refuse all attention?

I don't know if she was awful or not because I don't know what is considered good, bad or mediocre by Nascar standards. The only thing that I know is that she certainly doesn't seem to be the worst driver on the track in her time, which is enough by itself to prove that she belonged out there. If she went out there and was undeniably the absolute worst driver, then you would have a point...far as I can tell, that wasn't the case.

There is a big size and muscle difference between males and females. Too big to be mixing in a physical game like football.

Sorry, but nothing will get me to change my position that girls should not be playing football with boys.

Not being the worst is not really a high standard. I do not really watch NASCAR, not since you could no longer tell a Chevy from a Ford or Dodge. I have just heard that she was not great and caused a few crashes. That 6th is the best she ever did shows she was pretty average. Not that I care, as I said I do not watch races and from what little I have seen of her in person the vibe I get is she is not someone I'd want to chat up much.
