I thought it might be performed by a number of doctors in stages. Plastics, general, urology, gynecology. So, they have a specialist for the whole thing.

You are mostly correct. There are a number of different types of specialist involved. The ‘removing the man parts and making a vagina’ is an all day operation. I’m sure different hospitals have differently trained surgeons. Never had a gynecologist involved. Mostly urology/plastics.

Reminds me of a joke...

Q: What do a big spender and a rabbi performing a bris have in common?

A: They both leave a tip when they're done.

I have no idea where you live but non religious circumcisions are extremely common here. That refusingcircumcision is the exception rather than the rule.

Rather interesting that there is that much difference between our countries in this. Canada's national rate is now only 32% the US has dropped from 66% to 60%.

Forced to? Well you could maybe set that way into the future ... a science fiction thing. A movie about a pre-teen girl being influenced into it and not really understanding how she was being manipulated, actually a movie about that is almost for sure to be made sometime. Maybe would have been by now except for fear of being ostracized.

Yeah, somehow forced to. Just a raw idea for a movie, the kind that you have to build a ton of background around to make a script. I would not do scifi as much as a dystopian setting. Maybe a dystopian world where trans surgery is fairly common, sometimes expected? Have to figure how he is forced, maybe he owes money and ends up in a work camp or something but they need women not men.

Plot could be spitballed among film types. But if you showed a tranny in anything other than a positive light in a movie the woke community would put a hit out on you.

Also, I would guess 99% of techniques are developed from accidents, war injuries and probably cancer where reconstructive surgery is done.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

I think the original surgeries were done on those afflicted with the hermaphrodite problem, and the learning curve was from doing that. A decision was made as to which sex seemed to be predominant.

New years I was at a club, and they had one bathroom for all genders. Everything was a stall, long line of stalls, probably 20 (no urinals), and they had full sized doors on each stall, and in front of the stalls a line of sinks probably the same number as stalls (it was a pretty big bathroom, just one long line).

No issues at all, very efficient, people walk in go into a stall, do what they have to do, go out, and wash their hands (hopefully), and then exit the restroom, it was amazing how it was such a simple concept and the world did not crumble.

(And, no this was not a gay or alternative club, just a mainstream club with a lot of drunk people of various ages and genders and it worked fine). If it can work fine in a circumstance where everyone was drunk (on New Years probably even more so than usual), it can work fine in a normal business.

This is the first time I have seen it to this scale (not counting single room bathrooms). And, it is a pretty new location, so hopefully it encourages new construction to be more open minded and combine bathrooms. I just don't get how bathrooms are controversial, it is such a nonissue. If people used one you would be so unimpressed that you would never be alarmed again (which is exactly what I predicted for gender neutral bathrooms).

Make all bathrooms unisex and have a separate bathroom (which many places already do) with a locking door for the purposes of families with children; problem solved. Other than fetishists, I'm not sure who is thinking the act of taking a leak or dropping a load is at all sexual, anyway.

I guess you could also put the urinals behind a larger stall, but I really don't see the need.

I have seen how urinals could be installed in such bathrooms, basically a screened off area like you say, but I would guess for unisex it's easier to just use all the space for as many stalls as possible as opposed to using up space for a screened urinal area.
