Not me. I hated when adults were 'real' with me. I was too young to understand and it just confused me. I have a son who's a major in the AF, another is a math professor, and the youngest has a masters in business and has a big job in a corporation. I avoided the embarrassing questions when they were little and they turned out great. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

At first I thought it was a parody, but then I realized they were deadly serious. |

Is this a Christian tract? There are people that collect these. The ones from the 40's and 50's are often hilarious. In those days it was pre marital sex that was the boogeyman, the devil was behind every bush tempting you. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Wikipedia says that he is an ardent believer that any translation of the bible into English since the King James Bible in 1611 promotes heresy. In 1982 the New King James bible was published, using the work of 130 scholars. They tried to keep the spirit of the 1611 translation but recognized that English had changed in 4 centuries. I notice the witch in the tract was named Samantha. Although supernatural stories go back to the earliest days of TV, I believe that Bewitched (1964-1972) was the first time it was used in a sit-com . It really bothered the devout because they thought the combination of light comedy and witchcraft was particularly dangerous. I am not sure if romantic comedies were a problem. |
