Real Face will make a realistic face mask for $4k.

I thought I would start a thread to see if anyone has ideas that would make it reasonable to spend $4000 for a real face mask.
(1) Go to a Halloween party disguised as your wife (she presumably would be disguised as you)
(2) Play poker with a Phil Ivey face
(3) Get your face done when you are young, so you can wear it when you are old
(4) Everyone can show up at WOVCON as The Wizard

Not very good ideas. I can't think of anything that would make one spend $4000.

If it's good enough, some of these people might be able to go back to their favorite casino, but it would be a crime to wear a mask in many places regardless of it being in a casino. I think the laws criminalize wearing masks to bust criminals before their heists are committed without being bothered by it.

Put on a Phil Ivey face, and stop in and ask for my usual line of credit.

This idea of being able to reproduce every single imperfection is kind of scary. I think most people want REAL PHOTOSHOP face.

The only reasonable, as in realistic, use for a mask is as a decoration.

It may look like the person's face, but one someone puts it on it will look like a mask. You can't get it to move as if it were a real face, and human faces are very dynamic. If you want to look like someone else, you need makeup and prosthetics (watch an old ep of Mission: Impossible; they got the method for impersonating people just right.)

Well, yeah.
The method they used was using a second actor, and careful editing when the mask is removed!

Someone used realistic masks recently to appear as a bald white man when they robbed a store, but they got caught because they posted thanking them for how realistic they were. To me it would seem hard to pay $4,000 for a mask just from shopping a website.

Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Malcom in the Middle) went to comic con in a realistic mask of his character. Walked around the main floor but no one knew who he was.

You see shots of him pulling it off in above.
