You are right, but sadly they do have jurisdiction in the media and society, They can never win in court but they believe they can win in the court of public opinion. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

It's a true witch hunt and I think the people will see this. So funny that Trump constantly complained about witch hunts which was complete BS We will hear testimony that nobody is above the law. We will hear testimony that they go where the evidence leads them regardless of the status of the target. Does Gym Jordan really want to go there. It really doesn't matter whether he gets arrested or not, all the publicity he's getting surrounding this is doing the same job. It's galvanizing the Republican party like nothing before and it was a brilliant move on his part to put it out there. Donald Trump's understanding of how the media works never ceases to amaze me. It is doing a brilliant job increasing the level of terror threats for something that may not happen, and if it does will be very routine. Trump is turning a speeding ticket into Tiananmen Square. It is only brilliant in the sense that his low IQ supporters are rallying around their idol because they think he will be taken away. I actually agree that an arrest would be good for Trump (maybe bad for the Republican party overall depending on fracturing, debatable, unless we see it play out). But, this is more of a sign of the sad state of affairs than of Trump's brilliance. Trump is a career criminal, so one of his more minor crimes coming back to bite him (maybe, we are taking his word for it, which is worth close to nothing), is a nothingburger. Ethically speaking of course he should be arrested. Politically speaking, this will probably be good for him (and it is not like he will spend any time in an actual jail.... He will basically be prison larping). Of course, I also understand the DA's perspective that this is the time, because you can't really arrest a President, and with the fear of him becoming President again, and then being very old the window is running out.... But, is this the hill to die on? I don't know. |

I’ve yet to see anyone besides EB say that this will help Donny win in 2024. I’ve seen lots of people say it will help him win the GOP nomination- because GOP primary voters are crazy and not bright.
