I agree, our country is made up of about 95% morons.

Are you sure you aren't the only
one who's not? That's usually how
this goes..
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Some guy in England bought a photo on an auction site advertised as "vintage photo of young man standing by a chair" for the equivalent of $10.

Turns out it was Jesse James.

May sell for $2,000,000.

The Corker Effect: Politicians, or political appointees, can rediscover their spine only when there’s no next election or they’re on their way out of a post.

The Effect can go into remission if they find a new office they want to be elected to, or are given a new plum posting.

There is much more past than present. That's why highly improbable events happened in the past.

And yet all those improbable events happened int he past's present. :)

Investors will take great pains to protect themselves from market volatility or to save a few dollars in taxes, but shielding their wealth from legal judgments is often an afterthought.

"Clients don't think about it at all or they think about the risk being so small," said Michael McGrath, vice president with EP Wealth Advisors in Valencia, California.

"When your net worth goes up, that's when the conversation has to happen," he said. "Your auto policy might have $300,000 in liability coverage if you're in a horrible crash.

"If you get sued, that's a problem."

A survey from Chubb found that 10 percent of respondents were forced to cough up at least $100,000 in legal judgments. Only 1 in 10 of those polled had excess liability coverage.

The property-casualty insurer polled 200 individuals and families with at least $1 million in investable assets.

Why does a puppy always have to choose the most expensive thing possible to chew?

He just destroyed an inhaler that was still half-full. The medication in it cost $309.

This may be the final straw.
