And you would be correct. Specifically it is the southern end of Virgin Gorda in an area known as "The Baths" and "FallenJerusalem".

Thanks. That will give me one more reason to go to the BVI. I've always heard they were better than the American ones.

I spent a weeks in the US virgin Islands (St Croix) for work in the 1980's. I was only in the British Virgin Islands for the wedding. The British islands are infinitely more exclusive.
The wedding was held in October to take advantage of shoulder rates so that all their friends could afford to come. Otherwise it would be very expensive.

British things generally are. (He says with tongue firmly in cheek and showing some uncharacteristic national pride).

Wizard's new spot:

I think only Cambodia, Thailand, and India would have such large Buddhas, but I am just speaking from the impression I get from afar.

I'll settle on 'somewhere in Thailand'.

The boulders were not disgorged by a volcano or carried here by an Ice Age glacier.

Interesting. Knew nothing about it.

The lava was hot and when it came into contact with the cool seawater, it solidified into granite.

Not uniformly though.

As the rocks cooled, they also shrank, causing cracks to form. Over millions of years these blocks of stone spilled over to the surface of the earth, and there the rhythm of waves, jolt of earthquakes, and flow of water have told the passage of time on the rock faces.

You're in the right part of the world, but none of those specific countries.

No. This one is 34 meters high. The largest is 128 meters high. One source claims that this was the largest bronze seated Buddha, until 2007. However, this one looks impressive because it sits atop a hill. One must climb lots of steps to get to it.

Actually when Paco said is it the largest Buddha in the world that jogged my memory. It's the Hong Kong Buddha on, I think, Lantau Island?
