Evenbob Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 146 Posts: 25011 | I was seriously looking into using Bitcoin to play on Bovada because there are no fee's and you can take money out any time you like. Then I came to my senses. It's gone down 9% in just the last 2 weeks. Why would I do that to myself just because it's more convenient. If you take a risk, you may lose. Because you just buy and convert to cash. Keeps people out of your business. Bovada had a nice bonus for it last I checked. The President is a fink. |

I've been screwing with this since Sunday and the whole time it's upset me. I had a sense of forboding about it, now that I've decided not to do it, there's a big sense of relief. For one thing, that world is loaded with scammers. And most of these Bitcoin places want way too much personal info. A couple of them wanted a scan of my DL and a selfie of me holding the DL and a sign with that days date on it. Screw that. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I have not had such a problem, just the same info as a bank account is all a legit place wants. The President is a fink. |

Evenbob Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 146 Posts: 25011 | And some of the places that are easy to sign up with, if you read the reviews they want all kinds of ID verification once you send them money. Picture ID's, selfies, bank routing numbers, secret codes texted to you. The whole industry stinks of cheating and fraud, read some of the comments about a lot of these places. It's frightening. The creepy feeling I've had all week that was telling me 'do not do this' is gone now. It's all because this is non regulated non money. They can legally get away with murder, and they do. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Pacomartin Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 1068 Posts: 12569 | Cryptocurrencies in general have lost roughly 75% since the beginning of the year. Market Cap: $204.67 billion down from over $831 billion at beginning of 2018 Cryptocurrencies: 1976 Markets: 14002 Iota is still at $0.53, so it didn't get a boost by being chosen by Sweden for their national digital currency. |

Is Sweden going to use Iota or their own derivative based on the Iota paradigm? I didn't think they were actually going to use the Iota that is currently available. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |
