... I think it time to get on the bandwagon.

Actually, I've had a personal Facebook account for years, which is why I know I hate Facebook. To be honest, I really don't care what somebody I barely know ate for dinner nor care about his political opinions. Not to mention that they somehow know everything I'm interested in and bombard me with ads for related products.

I get bombarded with friend requests from people I've never heard of, who probably know me through my sites. To try to separate my public from private life, I opened a separate "wizard of odds" account on Facebook. At least I hope it is separate. So, can anybody who is already on Facebook try to friend my public "wizard of odds" account? I don't know how to point people to it. I'm pretty frustrated with trying to set up this new account, and now don't know how to specifically direct attention to it.

Direction? Ask and ye shall receive

Edit: Although I'm not sure if you can "friend" a page. I think by "liking" it, folks will automatically be updated in their feed anytime a page update is made. I just made a page myself yesterday for my racing deal, I should know more about it in the coming days...

Double Edit: Just know that by "liking" it, anyone with a modicum of common sense will know the identity of the person behind the DT/WoV handle. I figure I got so much personal info on here already that it don't matter, so... Firsties!

Yeah, I've glanced at your various pages long ago.... couldn't really figure out what was being kept current or what was intended to stay private.

Even if your primary reason for being on facebook is to lock in the name Wizard of Odds its best to check every now and then for others trying to use the phrase.

Confirmed. My "liking" your page causes your updates to pop up in my feed.

Thanks! I assume I should use that link (https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Wizard-of-Odds/569798273073532) in trying to promote the page outside of Facebook? How come I have to use a long URL like that and Mitt Romney gets https://www.facebook.com/mittromney?

Yeah, I reckon that'll be the best way.

I think, since I just did this yesterday, that when you make a page, you go through a four step process. On the first page, where you begin typing in what your page is about, it gives you an option to name the page. I believe it's there where you could do a Romney-esque name. If you leave it blank, it gives you the computer-speak version.

I think, anyways.

It took me a while to get the point of Facebook. It was mostly a matter of finding feeds worth following. One led to this:

But I'd say 90% of "friends" are there to get Candy Crush tickets when needed.
