You know what might be interesting? Ordering 2 or 3 meals and seeing what else can be made with the ingredients provided :)

Saturday I made chicken medallions with tomato sauce, onions and bell pepper, mixed with plain white rice. And oven roasted french fries (that's easier than wedges). They cooked so fast I didn't even need to turn them (or should have turned them sooner).

BTW, do you get a list of ingredients before ordering?

Each week they offer 8 different meals
You can click on each meal to see ingredients they provide, cooking utensils needed, what I need to provide(usually just oil, butter, salt, pepper) and cooking instructions with difficulty level
I get to choose 3 or 4 of the 8 meals provided that week

I suppose it makes sense as a subscription service (people do eat every day). But what if you don't want or need any melas in a given week?

You can always cancel any week
They know people sometimes go out of town
They set it up so you can see choices up to 5 weeks into the future
A few weeks from now, did not like the choices so canceled that week and trying another service that particular week, Blue Apron

Thanks.

I'm leery of subscription services for actual, physical goods like food or clothing.

I do pay a monthly fee to Audible and get a book (well, a credit) every month. But if I'm too deep in podcasts or otherwise not listening to audio books much, I can let the credits pile up and get the books later. If they picked a book and sent it (or made it download to the app), I'd far less interested.

Well, to each their own.

On tap for next week:

Sauce made of yogurt, cottage cheese and garlic, perhaps over noodles with ground turkey breast. baked fries on the side.

Piña colada cheesecake: pineapple, yogurt, cottage cheese, perhaps coconut milk or even coconut (if I can find unsweetened shredded coconut; I don't think whole coconut pieces will blend enough).

A coworker gave me half a kilo of rice flour. I'm looking up what I can do with it.

Also, does anyone know whether tortilla flour can be used for cornbread?
