Considering my posting history and your citizenship, you are quite forgiven =)

You should thank all the gods there were and ever will be that you've never known the... *ahem*... joy of owning 80's through 90's American cars. Ignore AZD's comments and don't listen to Mission wax poetically about his Cavalier. Rubbish, the lot of 'em =p

169,569...169,570...169,571...

Is there really anything else I need to say?

Personally I'd back that up to 70's - 80's when the Japanese were truly eating our lunch and every american model year was an adventure in lowering the bar. I know your stated views on 4-wheel, all wheel, no wheel [:-)] drive but the GKs (I'm driving my fifth one, a 2011 and it's the best yet) of '93 and '97 vintage were cherry IMO.

My 1983 Chevrolet Celebrity was sweet, I bought that with about 110K on it and it made it to about 160K. Alternators, mainly, three of those darn things in the time I had it.

I am also working on getting here more often, in the hope of growing the site. Mentioned this a couple weeks ago, then have been spotty about following up. But it's on my scope.

Stop texting while driving =p

For a Honda, that's just past the break in procedure. They don't even reach their stride until 200k. You, my friend, are living on borrowed time.

Fun fact: I pronounce your car as if it were French - cah:VAL:ee:AY

Why? Cuz like the French they always give up =p

Vincent LeCavalier averages .843 PPG's over more than a thousand games.

My car is going to average 32mpg's over 200,000 miles.

I get in my car early this morning, no antifreeze. Fill that up, four hours later, almost all gone. Fill it up with water to check for leaks. Needs a new water pump, and I blame you!!!! j/k

Saying a Cavalier might break down today is like a Portlander saying it might rain today. It's inevitable ;)

I'll gladly take the fault for this one. Anything I can do to get another one that much closer to the scrap heap ;)

But seriously, I'll play a game. My CRX, a HONDA, has 214k miles on it and is still spry enough to take racing. For every American car that passes me on the track, we'll give the US of A one point. For every FIVE American cars I pass, we'll give the Land of the Rising Sun one point. If, by some act of god, America wins, I'll not curse the Cavalier, Corsica, or any of their bastard cousins ever again.

I almost thought to make this a bet, but even at 5:1, it's more unfair than your smoking bet with Wiz ;)

The smoking bet is now even money for $100, but still pretty unfair to the Wizard.

Why do you hate the Cavalier so much? I can understand why a car guy would hate GM, generally speaking, but it's the one car that they got right!

No bet, by the way. You could be racing NEW American cars, and I'd say no bet. The Cavalier is my gas-sipper, that's why I like it.
