Obviously skin color is no impediment to athletic achievement.

Undoubtedly access to swimming pools is a big factor in rates of children that learn to swim. Probably decisions about where to swim is also a big factor in drowning rates. I am willing to bet more black children try to swim in rivers where undercurrents are extremely strong.

But we were talking about stereotypes and the use of them in comic routines or even in conversation.

Blacks cant swim is a stereotype that I think will go away due to gold medals won by Blacks during the Olympics
When I was growing, lots of stereotype jokes regarding how stupid Polish people were
I never hear those jokes that I heard as a youth

Is this comedian being racist? His whole act is based around racial stereotypes.

I'm not sure if it's racist, what does the
word mean now. I'm a white racist if
I even mention someones race to them.

I watched Get Out and Rogue One today on my flight back from Vegas to Detroit.

Get Out gets better with each viewing.

Rogue One doesn't. The characters just don't connect for me. The Force Awakens is 100x better in my eyes...

I watched Wonder Woman the other day and it was pretty good. The thing I liked best about it was its Christian perspective. The evil character nails the devil's philosophy really well and in the end Wonder Woman gets a good grasp of what Original Sin truly is. Evenbob if you watch the movie I think you will finally understand it. Also the greatest weapon to fight against evil is correct. The value of loving sacrifice and even some of the symbolism is close to many Christian images of the same. Yeah, pretty good movie.

Wonderwoman easily has the best reviews ever for a female led comic book film.

Fresh: 223 Rotten: 15 Wonder Woman (2017)/ Gal Gadot
Fresh: 145 Rotten: 88 Salt (2010) / Angelina Jolie
Fresh: 17 Rotten: 178 Catwoman (2004) / Hale Barry
Fresh: 2 Rotten: 25 Supergirl (1984) / Helen Slater

Ratio of favorable reviews to negative reviews is in the same level as the best reviewed DC comic book movie (and only DC comic book movie to gross over a billion dollars worldwide) of all time

Fresh: 304 Rotten: 20 THE DARK KNIGHT (2008) / Christian Bale

Heathcliff Ledger died on 22 January 2008, just before The Dark Knight was released. Although the movie was excellent, it was only a handful of reviewers that could find it in their heart to give the movie a bad review.

Based on the trailer, I'll go see it. Even, eh, with the Christian angle. : ) I'm used to the bombardment of Christian viewpoints from years of experience.

You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Evenbob if you watch the movie.

If I'm ever a 14 year old girl, the target
audience for this flick, I'll see it. Right
now it sounds completely boring.
