I remember people saying there would come a day when the casual computer user would need a more powerful machine than the engineer and the scientist. The idea seemed so strange to me.
the casual computer user merely WANTS a more powerful machine.

This was in a day when there were no monitors. I wrote a code for my graduate thesis on a dot matrix printer. The code did calculations in fluid dynamics

That is some heavy math there. I'm impressed.

I guess I never noted much about Gina Lollobrigida. But she never went to Hollywood. I can't argue she was one of the most beautiful actresses of that time though. Apparently July 4th is her 90th birthday.

Asked about her feud with Sophia Loren she says (this is today) "I was not looking for a feud with anyone. I was the number one."

lol.

You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

No contest, Sophia Loren is the most beautiful,
most exotic woman ever on the screen. In
some of her early films she literally makes
you stop breathing sometimes. They say
when she walked into a crowded room the
whole place would stop and stare at her.
I totally believe it.

If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

What a shame she's photographed with a cigarette. Nasty. Her attractiveness just plummeted to zero. Add a bunch of tattoos and she'd be in negative territory.
