There's this horror movie where a deranged lunatic with orange hair takes over the government of a powerful country and makes a fool out of himself almost every day.

I finally watched The Office to the end, but no one wants to talk about it, so I won't.

It ended for me after the 4th or 5th season.
Same plotlines over and over, I stopped
caring. Same is happening with Modern
Family. The first 5 seasons were gems,
now it's not funny at all. And it's been
renewed for 2 more seasons.

I watched it till the end when it aired. It just wasn't the same without Steve Carrell.

That's about where I stopped, too, but I was laid up for about a week and needed to binge something and I picked the last few seasons of The Office. There were some good laffs, but overall it didn't get any better, that's for sure.

Life is probably too short to watch TV. And it's definitely too short to watch shows to the bitter end when they're played out.

(unless someone claims, that's it's going to pay off eventually if I just have patience)

TV is where all the good stuff is now, it you
look for it. I find most movies now are
pure crap. Either poor writing and bad
acting and all CGI, or good acting and
an awful or boring story. I stick with
the franchise movies, at least I know
what I'm getting. Batman, Star Trek,
Bond, Pirates, etc.

Some people say that when DVD's were released in 1999 and HBO came out with "The Sopranos" was the dawn of the new age of home entertainment. At the same time 1998 with "Saving Private Ryan" was the last year that a movie oriented primarily towards adults was #1 at the box office.

I was 12 in '61. Westerns dominated the
TV dial, you could not escape them. And
they were all the same, good guys killing
bad guys. Nothing more than that.
