Am I the only one who thinks Jennifer Lawrence is a twit?
I don't know but at least she is a rich twit.

As to a screenwriter being certifiable, that is a career enhancing state.

You probably shouldn't read this review if you don't want to know anything about Mother but it made me LOL several times.

By most cites who keep track she is worth 4X or 5X as much as Darren Aranofsky who is 20 years older. Still, DA is worth 5X as much as Nicholas Hoult.

To date a director with a similar net worth she would have to date the likes of Christopher Nolan.

Jennifer has had 11 wide release films and 8 small films (one of which won her an Oscar). But this is her third wide release in a row that is a financial failure. Anyone who makes $100 million in their mid 20s is going to be a target.

Cloud Atlas. 3 hours long, I watched half of it
and I still don't know what it's about, other
than an excuse for stars to wear outrageous
makeup and costumes. The story makes
no sense.

Great movie. But definitely an acquired taste.

I should have done it first, read the reviews
on Rotten for C Atlas. What a dog, cost
$100mil to make, made $22mil at the BO.
It's just as I said, a self indulgent ego fest
of actors playing a bunch of different parts
in stories that are so boring you can't stop
looking at your watch. Sitting here I can't
remember what any of them were about
except a brother being locked up by his
brother in a home. What a yawner of a movie.

Saw "It" last night. 1st showing I went to was already sold out. So waited 30 minutes for next.

I was hoping I wouldn't have scary clown dreams afterwards. Very much "Stand by me" format with scary clown. So, good character build up.

I wondered with all the modern movies if it was possible to shock an audience with anything as they've thrown everything at them but the kitchen sink. (so, they used a bathroom sink in this one).

Possibly, because of plot element, this is one of few horror movies where it makes sense for the characters to go towards strange happening instead of away.

I enjoyed it. Thought at first it might be too long, but just about right. Only other horror was small drink & popcorn for $12.55.

I'll see this when it comes out on video,
just to see how true to the book it is.
King has two super scary books, It and
Salems Lot. King portrays vampires for
what they really are and you never see
them the same again. The Shining is
pretty scary too.

I think Pet Cemetery was King's scariest movie at least. The new "It" beats it.
