Please use SPOILER tags, but I thought the recent popular horror film with a blind guy was "Don't Breathe", not "Get Out". |

it becomes clear that these people are up to no good, but what? It was a very uniquely evil thing which, well, hell, you should see the movie to find out. The blind guy has a minor role. I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

The major points to remember about Dunkirk is that the British Expeditionary Force did not know that their position was untenable and that they were surrounded by German troops. It took a British cryptographer specializing in Metadata to tell Churchill "Your entire army is surrounded and has no hope of escaping defeat in any battle". There was a complete breakdown of discipline among many of the evacuees. No one manned small craft and ferried troops to offshore ships, everyone got out of the small craft and evacuees had to wait for the craft to float back in to be re-used. Churchill did not hesitate to give the most important order: "Able Bodied First" which meant "leave our wounded behind, England needs soldiers not hospital patients". Most of the daring feats of survival did not take place on or near the beach, they took place aboard the small craft navigating the short choppy seas of the English Channel in boats totally unsuitable to the task. |

petroglyph Member since: Aug 3, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 6227 | I posted my comment in the movies thread, maybe for common interest, not because of paper comic books, but the movies based on them. I care not about the sjw movement, but it was in the link. Haven't read a comic book in ages, however I do read the funnies in newspapers, often that is the best part in the whole paper. Many movies start out from comic book themes or characters, the article was of interest to me, pointing out that PC has gone overboard many times and this article points out how that has worked for Marvel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_based_on_Marvel_Comics http://www.denofgeek.com/uk/movies/32829/80-upcoming-comic-book-movies-and-when-to-expect-them "...Again, if you’re not into comics, then on the surface of all this you’re probably assuming that as a business, Marvel must be ending these titles because they aren’t selling. And you’d be correct in that assumption. As the sales figures clearly show, very few people had an interest in reading these books."> <To a small but highly vocal group of comic book fans on social media, the cancellation of those series foreshadowed the end of a period at Marvel in which they say social justice warriors were ruining the company.> The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. Marvel started in the early 1960's and took a long time to eventually get into the movies. From worldwide box office gross, Spiderman in 2002 basically set a new kind of standard for movie success: the movie that makes lots of money in a very short time. After Spider-Man studios were no longer content with films that would build slowly by word of mouth. Now they had to prepare audiences for months before hand so they would all want to go the first week.
