What Movies Have You Seen Lately?

Unfortunately, the plot is so unbelievable that the characters in the film are calling out the problems as they come up. The heroes come across as self absorbed and inconsiderate. Unfortunately, without any sympathy for the protagonists, I found myself rooting for the bad guys. There is however, one interesting character in the movie, the divorced cop who lives next door to the heroes. He’s quirky enough to steal the show, but I recommend that folks wait a few more weeks when this movie is free on tv to see it. I give it three bags of Tostitos scoops out of ten. If you do see it in the theatre, enjoy all the end credits, including a bonus gag at the close. |

Well, I have to do that anyway. >>>> enjoy all the end credits, including a bonus gag at the close. Oh, I like those. Last time I watched Lady in the Lake I forgot to watch the closing credits for who played the nonexistent character. |

Lady in the Lake. Chrystal Kingsley, the supposed Lady in the Lake, who never appears was played by Ellay Mort which is Elle est mort or "She is dead". |

How could it fail. http://ew.com/movies/2018/03/07/a-wrinkle-in-time-movie-review/ If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Damn. I had very high hopes for this movie. Will still have to see it. Disagree about Oprah not being able to act. I thought she was very good in both The Color Purple and The Butler.

I've never seen a movie she starred in all the way through, she literally puts me to sleep. The purple one, what did she weigh, 400 pounds? Astoundingly hard to watch. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I remember one time shifting and point of view shifting movie about a friend doing drugs and being abandoned on a beach in some tropical isle. Between all the literary and film tricks being used and the film being in Portugese or something, I didn't understand a moment of it but I sure did learn that Brazilian women were beautiful. Great film for that, though I couldn't figure out whether it was a pro drug film or an anti drug film. |
