Everything on the island actually happened.
... including many things that are completely fantastic [not in the good sense of that word] like a smoke 'person' or cloud that appears? If it was all real, then how do you explain these things that are not of the real world?

We could have a similar discussion about Total Recall.

It's an interesting interpretation. Who would you say invented this particular plot twist?
The hospital and the people who work there are revealed to be figments in the mind of an autistic boy who stared at a snowglobe with the hospital building inside of it.

Based on the Charles Beaumont story of the same name, published in the November 1958 issue of Playboy
They say a dream takes only a second or so, and yet in that second a man can live a lifetime. He can suffer and die, and who's to say which is the greater reality: the one we know or the one in dreams, between heaven, the sky, the earth - in the Twilight Zone.

Once upon a time, I, Chuang Chou, dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was Chou. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.

The same way one would explain any fantasy elements of any sci-fi show.

Skyscraper

Completely silly. Totally unrealistic. But there’s no denying it’s entertaining.

Would I recommend it? If you’re looking for mindless popcorn action, you could find a worse way to spend 1 hr 45 mins.

Lost had an ending? Really? I lost
interest long before they got there.
It became obvious in the last 2
seasons they had no idea what
the show was about or where it
was going. I quit watching.

Here's one:

The end of Lost sucked. Holy f@@k, did it suck. It was really, truly, completely the worst — a mushy, indefensible cop-out that failed to resolve many of the show's central mysteries and seemed to argue against reason in favor of a vaguely defined faith in … what, exactly? Did the writers themselves even know? The show's final episode—and really, its entire final season—was so bad that it has completely rewritten the popular mythology surrounding what was once TV's most popular mythology.

If you quit watching, how did you even know what happened in the final season?

My opinion is the first two seasons were outstanding and then it gradually went downhill to the point where the last season, yeah, it sucked. I'll give you that one.

I watched the final episode. I knew from
season 2 that it would go nowhere.
They're on an island, the writers
have to keep them there or the show
is over. What's great is Nflix and Prime
have shows that are designed to last
2-3 seasons, so you can have a decent
ending.

Breaking Bad was designed to last 5
seasons. But because it was such a
huge success they dragged it out
to 7. That's why there were so many
filler episodes, like Skyler having an
affair, or her sister shoplifting. Or
a whole ep about Walter chasing
a fly.

Good news for Evenbob:

I've known about this for 6 months.
They were waiting for the stuck up
bitch Maggie Smith to give in. She
doesn't like playing an old lady, but
what else is she good for at 75.

Playing a corpse.

I have never seen Lost and I don't mind if you discuss it without spoiler tags.
