Tom Hanks as Mr. Rogers:

Everybody loves him, I guess. But I was
an adult when he came on the scene
and he made me uncomfortable if
I happened to see him. Frankly, he
sounded retarded when he talked
to kids, it made me squirm. It
sounded like he was pandering to
them.

A Star is Born (2018)

Will certainly be in the Oscar conversation. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are phenomenal. Heck, Bradley Cooper could possibly win three (Best Actor, Director, and Song).

Bring tissues if you see it.

A Star is Born (2018).

I thought the first showings were tonight after midnight.

Almost universally praised by critics.

They did sneak previews last night at most theaters.

It seems Clint Eastwood's movie, Mule, is getting oodles of commentary in the Entertainment World's press. Well, what is so strange about a near senile old man in a beat up old truck being a major mule for a drug cartel? You think the cartels prefer young men in flashy cars?

Just think of the Florida oxycontin scrip mills of a few years ago. Some of those pain clinics had doctors who were on pitiful pensions, could barely buy a hamburger much less pay for their own medication to deal with the infirmities of age. They could not get hired by any legitimate medical clinic or by any other employer, but they had clean licenses and were legally still able to prescribe meds. So they signed Rx forms in bulk and suddenly were eating decent meals for a change. Its nothing new.

An old geezer blends in with the vehicular traffic and DEA agents are less likely to suspect him of anything illegal much less the drug trade. Its the same way with suburban moms driving station wagons and a bunch of kids. Couriers that are virtually invisible are the best kind.

Last Witch Hunter, with Vin Diesel. Not bad,
there's an actual story here, and good character
development. Not just a bunch of stupid CGI,
although there is that too. Diesel is very good
in macho roles like this, he does strength and
vulnerability very well.

I don't really care about the running commentary of the people standing in the storm, but I do wish they would set up lots of live cameras and actually focus on local storm activity.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

That movie was horrible. Huge bomb too. Of course you liked it.
