It delivers exactly what you’d expect: Michael Myers escapes from the asylum. Lots of people die. There is a big showdown with Jamie Lee Curtis. There is one plot development about 2/3rds of the way through the movie that is absolutely stupid. But thankfully it resolves itself pretty quickly and the movie gets back on track. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Use to call films like Halloween slasher films. Still horror, I guess. Friday the thirteenth, SAW, etc., Texas chainsaw. I never really liked them that well, but had a girlfriend that loved them. I like creepy horror, maybe like 'it" is good example. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

Thanks for the review. Was planning to see it, but do so for sure after your review. However, I'll guess in advance the ending is ambiguous -- Did they kill Michael Myers or not? Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

It's a pretty impressive track record for JLC to carry a horror role for 40 years from the ages of 19 to 59. I wonder who Keri Tate is? 1978 Halloween Laurie Strode 1981 Halloween II Laurie Strode 1982 Halloween III: Season of the Witch Telephone Operator Voice only, uncredited 1998 Halloween H20: 20 Years Later Laurie Strode / Keri Tate 2002 Halloween: Resurrection Laurie Strode 2018 Halloween Laurie Strode |

Yeah, that's the only thing about this movie that's absolutely stupid. Good grief. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Keri Tate was a fake identity she used in Halloween H20 to stay off Michael's radar. Anyway, this movie is a direct sequel to the original 1978 Halloween. It completely ignores Halloween 2, H20, and Resurrection and pretends like they never existed (Laurie Strode died in Halloween Resurrection). “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Without spoiling anything: based on the projected $75 million opening weekend at the box office, I think it’s safe to assume Michael Myers will return. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

At an average ticket price of $9 that means over 8 million tickets. That has the potential to set a record for the series. R rated horror seems like it can't miss in recent years.
