Avatar 2 is due in theaters on December 18, 2020, and will be followed by Avatar 3 on December 17, 2021. Two additional sequels are planned after that if the first pair deliver the kind of box-office success that Fox and Cameron are expecting.

That’s. Not. True.
.

Yes. It. Is. From IMDB

Avatar 5 (filming)
Avatar 4 (filming)
Avatar 3 (post-production)
Avatar 2 (post-production)

2 and 3 are done (that's what 'post production' means)
4 and 5 are filming as we speak

Get it? How embarrassing for you..

lol, IMDB isn’t a reliable source for anything. Anyone can edit it.

Keep digging that hole deeper.

The Favourite

Now this was a huge surprise! One of the best of the year, easily. I almost didn’t see it as I thought the trailer made it look pretentious and boring. But man was it entertaining and funny.

Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone are both excellent as two conniving c**ts (and you see Emma Stone naked, if you’re into that). I don’t think the dialogue is accurate to the period, as they throw the C-word around A LOT in this movie. But I didn’t mind as it was funny to see them go back and forth at each other.

If I have any complaints they are these: I didn’t find the ending very satisfying, and the direction was a little pretentious (I frickin hate the use of a fish eye camera lens in any movie).

Why? Because you found links confirming what I’ve already said? (That the first two sequels have finished principal photography).

I said: all 4 WILL BE DONE before the FIRST ONE comes out.

YOU said: That’s. Not. True.

I proved it was 100% true, humiliating you
once again.

It's sort of possible you're both right. It would make sense, budget-wise, to do principal photography for all 4 movies in one marathon, because everyone and everything is there, and it's a question of weeks.

The thing that takes a large chunk of both time and budget is the computer work- last I saw, it takes something like 100 computer artists 1-2 years in production to finish a CGI movie. Not to mention scoring, editing, etc.

So, they budget all the live action together first, they do the CGI slog on the first couple, and they wait for results before they commit to the 2nd 2.

Peace love out.

To create the elaborate underwater scenes from Aquaman, it took special effects artists hundreds of hours to digitally remove plastic trash and oil globs.

But that's not how their doing it.
They're going to do all 4 and release
one a year in hopes there's a
profit at the end. They don't have
years to tie down editors and
CGI engineers, their going to
use short cuts and work arounds
to save money. It's mostly CGI
anyway, who will notice.
