Wonder Woman is a demi-god, so maybe there is some way she can get Chris Pratt back again though I don't really know what accounts for it.

The director promises it is not a gimmick, but integral to the theme of the story. Of course, we can assume that Pine was paid millions of dollars.

Watching Alien from the mid
80's. The super computer,
'Mother', is a CRT monitor
with the old green computer
script. That's how far computers
have advanced 300 years from
now. Yet they were able to
build a human looking and
acting android that has AI.

Pretty funny.

Even better. I was thinking of the
2nd one, which was 1986. In 79
there was Pong and that was about
it. The CRT screen for Mother looked
kind of like a Pong screen. lol

Cats is bombing. Only made 2 million over the weekend. Cost 100 million.

Quote:
Despite the divided reaction to the film’s visuals, “Cats” is already achieving a kind of cult status as indicated on Twitter. In his review, IndieWire Executive Editor and Chief Film Critic Eric Kohn called the movie an absurd and exuberant mess. “Everything ludicrous about the show has been cranked up to 11, with a restless artificial camera and actors so keen on upstaging one another with excessive song-and-dance numbers they may as well be competing for a Heaviside Layer of their own. It takes some ambitious swings and works on its own terms in fits and starts, all while not really working at all.”

So maybe it will reap some money back in cult status.

Like everybody else is saying, the trailers
were so bad how could the movie be
good. It's getting some of the worst
reviews I've ever seen. Bad costumes,
bad lighting, bad acting. Horrible confusing
story.

Cats is one of those movies I’m tempted to see just to see how bad it is. The trailers looked absolutely insane. How did this get made? Why did they have to use expensive CGI, why not just costumes like the friggin play?

Movies aren't made in a linear fashion. They
film the start middle and end randomly as
sets and locations are available. They don't
know how bad it is till it's done.

the dailies or rushes used to get viewed each night in the days of film and producers who were on the hook, now that it is CGI and funds are from some Chinese front, maybe no one watches the product anymore.

These days a star may only be
available for 1 week, they
can't hang around a set for
a month like the old days.
All their scenes have to be shot
back to back, and nobody knows
what the final result will look like.
