I'm really surprised at how well it's held up after all these years. I watched the whole thing and it's still a great movie. If you take a risk, you may lose. It is mainly about how Popes Benedict and Francis initially didn't like each other much, but a great friendship slowly developed, despite the many touchy subjects that liberal and conservative Catholics may disagree on. Too bad most of it is fiction. They never met till after Ratzinger had already resigned. The biggest complaint is the real Ratzinger is nothing like the one in the movie. Ask FrG, he knew Ratzinger before he was pope. Most of what's in the movie never happened. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

It was also kinda weird because Carrie Fisher looked pretty dead in the film when she was in that coma. Definitely a long movie. Also, I came across this shortly afterward. Pretty funny. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |
