Hated all the characters.

I don’t think you were supposed to like them.

No. Except Kevin Garnet perhaps.

I think you do have to realize it is a dark comedy ~ if you wait to like the characters or 'get into it' as a "crime drama" as wikipedia and imdb.com would have it, you won't get it. If I listed all the things that happen to the main character I think you have to agree.

Those kind of movies never make
money, people don't like paying
to be bummed out. UG didn't even
break even. For instance one of
the Harry Potter movies (Phoenix)
took in $967 mil and still lost
$160 mil. And that was a decent
movie.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

lolololol

No, it didn’t lose $160 million. (I’ve seen the numbers you’re referring to - Warner Bros. was widely mocked and ridiculed over them).

That’s just Hollywood accounting. They always try to show a loss so they can weasel out of paying anyone who is supposed to earn a percentage of the profits.

If a movie lost $160 million, they would not have made three more sequels to it. GUARANTEED.

One Potter movie in the series (5th based on books?) had a 800+mil budget? (Assuming close to 1 billion in revenue but still losing moneu?)

Even adjusted for inflation that would make it the most expensive film ever produced many times over in all of history.... I find that hard to believe...

This is what he was referring to:

CONTROVERSIAL STUDIO SHAME! Even Harry Potter Pic Loses Money Because Of Warner Bros’ Phony Baloney Net Profit Accounting

The movie didn’t really lose money. If it did, they wouldn’t have made Harry Potter 6, Harry Potter 7, or Harry Potter 8.

I am not an accountant, but that sounds like some shady book stuff going on....

What’s it about?
Starts with twin brothers, born minutes apart in different years. One of them is clinically schizophrenic and the twin has to watch our over him. I have to appreciate the loyalty, but he really has to sacrifice his life and no one will give him a break, while he try's to protect his brother from the system.
