I finally saw the Downton Abbey movie
on Xmas Eve. I had bought it in June
but waited to watch it as a gift to
myself.

It did not disappoint. it was splendid.
I've watched it 3 times already, Fellows
hit a home run with the script. All the
characters are in true form. There
are plots and sub plots galore, and
there's the wonderful castle. I don't
know why some made a fuss about
the Gay stuff, it was a small part of
the movie and was in good taste.

There is a follow up movie that was
supposed to be shot last summer,
but the virus messed it up. They
hope to shoot this year. The first
one cost $13 mil to make, and raked
in $237 mil worldwide. Those
numbers would have any producer
lining up 5 sequels. $13 million
won't even get you a major star
these days, let alone make a whole
movie. With DVD sales it will earn
20 times what it cost to make it.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Will Smith was paid $17 million for the movie "Bad Boys For Life".The first Bad Boys was released in 1995, and a sequel, Bad Boys II, followed in 2003.

Wonder Woman earned $38 million on its opening day June 2, 2017m so Gal Gadot got paid $10 million to star in "Wonder Woman 1984".

Warner Brothers said WW84 earned $16.7 million for the three day domestic boxoffice, and up to $28.5 million as of today Sunday January 3, 2021. I hope they sold a lot of HBO MAX subscriptions.

The first one was a yawner,
way too silly and long.
It was a passing fad, they're
over it now.

Woohoo
Just saw a Tenet ad flash on my TV screen. I often have my TV on the news and on mute
Just went online
Now I can rent Tenet for a reasonable fee instead on the 19.99 to buy
Going to watch tonight

Not sure what I saw
Very confusing
Entertaining because of a lot of action
But it was weird because in action movies, there is generally somebody to root for
This movie was so confusing, you cant root for anybody because you are still trying to figure out WTF is going on
The last part of the movie with the huge squads of soldiers, one set going forward and one set backwards was hard to follow
Its a neat concept but I think the fictional execution of the idea was just too confusing

5 for action. Action is superb.
1 for too confusing
Overall I give it 3 out of 5

Yeah, I saw it twice.

I soured on it during the second viewing. It’s kind of mess. I thought this would come together better now that I knew what was going on, but it’s still incoherent.
