Not a Troma flick but very Troma-like: has there ever been a more over the top scene?

"Slumber party girls meet the sea monsters" in "The Horror of Party Beach."

*this flick is sooooo bad...I enjoyed it*

Tom Cruise turned 60 on July 3. Top Gun: Maverick has made over $1 billion since it opened.

Wiki: "Xenu (/ˈziːnuː/), also called Xemu, was the extraterrestrial ruler of the "Galactic Confederacy" who brought billions of his people to Earth (then known as "Teegeeack") in DC-8-like spacecraft 75 million years ago, stacked them around volcanoes, and killed them with hydrogen bombs."

Sounds plausible; beam, I mean sign me up...

If someone tried to offer him the salary he earned in his first decade, he would probably laugh.

Risky Business (1983) Risky Business earned $64 million on a budget of $6 million
$75,000

Legend (1985)
$500,000

Top Gun (1986)
$2 million

Cocktail (1988)
$3 million

Days of Thunder (1990)
$9 million

Far and Away (1992)
$13 million

A Few Good Men (1992)
$12 million

The Firm (1993)
$12 million

Interview with the Vampire (1994)
$15 million

I don't know precisely what he earns on the "other" films
Eyes Wide Shut
Vanilla Sky
Minority Report
The Last Samurai
Collateral
War of the Worlds
Valkyrie
Jack Reacher
Oblivion
Edge of Tomorrow
American Made

Dune is the best-selling science fiction novel of all time, so it probably influenced a lot of other works.

Martin Scorsese got a little too scared by Ti West’s “Pearl,” the A24-backed “X” prequel starring Mia Goth. In a review sent to A24 and published by /Film, Scorsese called “Pearl” a “deeply disturbing” horror movie that is “mesmerizing” and “wild.” West and Goth co-wrote the prequel, which world premiered at the Venice Film Festival.

“Ti West’s movies have a kind of energy that is so rare these days, powered by a pure, undiluted love for cinema,” Scorsese said. “You feel it in every frame.
