Ambassador Hotel Santorini Yowzer! $700/night for a regular room.

Good example of a commercial as a miniature film.

I saw this unconventional Encore commercial last night, advertising its upcoming Steven King marathon.

I think Misery will always be the scariest Stephen King movie of all time. It just seems so possible.

I've read all King's books and seen all the
movies. 'It' was the scariest book, 'The
Shining' was the scariest movie. The rest
were damn good, especially Christine..

I knew a guy in HS who had that car in
1967, it was cool even then. He loved it,
and died in Vietnam..

I read "Christine" back in the 1980s. It was set in suburban Pittsburgh and while the suburb was fictional, King kept talking about the teenagers listening to a radio station called "WYDD" and their "block party weekend."

Well, at the time of the book there WAS a WYDD here and they did do a "block party weekend." (block of songs from same artist or band.) I deal with a guy who worked at WYDD at the time, when I told him this he was amazed and didn't believe it. Only thing I ever amazed him more with was an Arbitron(R) meter, but that is another story.

As usual with King, the book was scarier than
the movie. I changed my mind, Salem's Lot
was King's scariest book. Very creepy. King
had real talent in the 70's and 80's, he blew
it getting addicted to coke. Then he had the
accident where he got hit by a truck while
walking and his back is majorly screwed up
and he's bitter about it.

Perhaps someone could come up with the financials on the Carrie remake movie and on their promo U-tube that was a standalone ad for it.

There are several edited versions but just type in: coffee shop nyc psychic

It shows how the crew rigged S'nice Coffee Shop in the Village to have a fake wall against which a stunt man is dragged and lifted by the "psychic powers" of a girl's hands. I know the you tube film did okay but what about Carrie and what about the Carrie Remake?

Now that weed's legal here in Washington, there's a whole series of commercials to discourage stoned driving, here's a couple:

The double entendre is big in commercials right now.

Trivia: The proper Modern French phrase would be "double entente", but the phrase has become established in English in its obsolete French form.
