Hopefully atheists ask themselves what they should do and what is the best thing I can do in this situation. I would hope atheists would think over their decisions and what they believe and ask if they should do this or that or what is best to do in this situation. Don't you ask yourself those questions?

If you don't kinda sorta know that by
the time you're an adult, something
is seriously wrong with you. Every
time I drive by a bank I don't wonder
if I should rob it today. When somebody
holds a door for me, I don't have to
ponder if I should thank them or not.

Asking what you should do in
every situation is fairly pathological, it's
what sociopaths do. You should know the
answers automatically.

Yes, in the cases you mention sure it is automatic, I hope. Put every day presents us with new challenges or circumstances that are not automatic and should require of us to use our morality and apply it by asking what is the best thing I can do here.

It does? Not my life or most people
I know. By a certain age you have
pretty much a standard correct
response for every situation. I can't
remember the last time I had to
ask myself the correct response to
a situation that I didn't know automatically.
Can you? I doubt it.

I can remember a time recently you had to ask yourself what the correct response was and it happened on the forum in regards to what pronouns to use in addressing Nareed. You didn't know automatically and I believe you failed to do the right thing. You are sometimes to egotistically and smug for your own good and I reckon it gets you into a lot of trouble here on the forum and in real life.

No no no no no, I absolutely
knew automatically. I address
people by what they were born
as, not by whatever gender they
think they are today. I don't
play those PC games. And to
prove my point, I blocked Nareed
rather than play that game with
(pronoun blocked due to censorship).

Great quote from Bill Maher:

The best thing about atheism is, it
takes up so little of your time.

And god is imaginary and takes up
no time at all. We agree on something.

Maher says something I've wondered
about. There are a lot more atheists
than will admit to it. My own wife and
her Xtion fam have no idea I'm an
atheist. It's unimportant for me to tell
them, it's like admitting I don't like
broccoli. I also don't collect stamps or
do crossword puzzles, who cares.

Many atheists don't want to rock the
boat so they keep it to themselves.
Xtions can get so freaky emotionally
weird about their religion, why give
them more ammo. I look at Xtionity
as a form of mild mental illness and
treat it's adherents accordingly. Don't
poke them with a stick if you can avoid it.

We only agree that imaginary things shouldn't take up time. Atheism is imaginary in that it is based on nothing. And I know you like to make yourself feel better by saying atheism is like saying you don't like broccoli, but that is a lie. Atheism says there is no such thing as broccoli and that is why it is more akin to a mental illness than Christianity ever could be. Heck, in another thread you finally admitted that there is evidence for God that you think is very weak, but evidence none the less.
