In my more religious days I always struggled with the nature of god, .

I was always puzzled by it, I don't
remember ever struggling. When
you actually investigate god, you
always come to the conclusion that
he doesn't exist. If you have an open
mind, that is. If you've been reised
in any religion, your mind is permanently
closed, and you don't even know it.
Some struggle thru to the truth
of atheism, most do not.

It's like Finding Waldo in a puzzle
where there is no Waldo to be found.
So you make one up, you create in
your mind what you want to find
and then pretend it's true.

If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Yeah, the real believers handle snakes.

It says so right here, so it must be true:

Mark 16:17–18

And at these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

More NT mythological claptrap
that 99% of Xtions pretend isn't
there. Like they pretend Jesus
never said he'll give believers
anything they ask him for, that
he's the vending machine in the
sky. Such a bad joke..

This is precisely what I have told you many times Christians do NOT believe and yet you go on criticizing them for something you know is not true. You are like a clown parading on and on without any realization that you have gone off the route, are lost, and everyone is looking at you funny. Yet you keep repeating the same old bad jokes and doing the same tired act and I'm so embarrassed for you and I don't know how to help.

I've yet to meet a Christian who could do these things, that I know of.

Nor will you, it's superstitious nonsense.
Yet we're supposed to ignore obvious
made up baloney like this, and accept
the rest of the NT as truth. It's all
nonsense until proven otherwise,
and of course none of it has been
proven at all. There are some who
think Jesus wasn't even a real person.

What's amazing is they built a religion
around this crap and foisted it on
the rest of the world by force. That's
just wrong..

Report: 245 Million Christians Facing ‘Extreme’ Persecution Worldwide

I'd say it's time to keep your hobby
to yourself if you're being persecuted
for it. Unless you have a martyr complex,
then by all means keep on keepin on..

Dying for a religion is about the most
useless death there is..

I don't take this passage literally and I don't think it was written to be taken that way. However, in Jesus' name demons are still being cast out, the Catholic (which means universal) Church prays in every language, sin (represented by snakes and poison) is forgiven by God, and miracles of healing still occur today.
