Abraham, like Moses, is more than likely a myth. I don't have internet access right now, get a bad storm last night in the power's out oh, I'm doing this on my phone.

It's becoming widely accepted that
the main characters in the OT and
the stories about them are made
up fantasies, just like they are in
all the old religions. Moses, Abraham,
Noah, and the rest, never existed.

So what does this say about Xtionity,
with it and Jesus being totally dependent
of all that 'truth' in the OT. It pretty much
nullify's the historicity of the NT. The
religion can still be practiced on a
spiritual basis, but not one based on
historical fact. That shop has sailed.

Widely accepted by who?

How would such a strange idea nullify the historicity of the NT?

If I don't hear a response in less than 3 days I will assume you completely agree with me and recognize you are wrong.

My reading of the old testament is much like that, a god "demanding all kinds of things without a care for humanity. " The OT is full of stories of god creating natural disasters and wars to punish us. The story of Noah and the ark is a good example.

I do think Noah is a good example. The world had fallen into rampant sin and evil. Existence and life must have been more like a war with constant fighting, killing, lying, cheating (insert sounds like modern times joke here). God started over with the one just and good family left. I think it shows God's care for the quality of our lives and our salvation. God isn't demanding anything other than the good moral things that are blessings to all.

George Carlin in his classic bit about
Xtionity. He was raised Catholic, of
course. In the first 10min he nails
Xtionity to the wall.
