we can think of perfection, and we even desire it, even though none of us have ever experienced it. Why is that? Because it is ingrained in us .

I'm sorry, this is poppycock and balderdash. The
hubris and vanity of it is beyond the pale.
"What's you goal, Tom." "Oh, I want to be perfect."

That Christians actually say it out loud is
probably why they were persecuted. I
don't even care and it ticks me off a little.

"Perfection is a chimera. It is one of many human ideas that doesn't exist. There is not a perfect thing, state or concept. The concept of perfection itself is flawed."

*Chimera means myth. A vain, foolish, or incongruous fancy.

I'll tell you this much, it's humble and not
vainglorious, such as wanting to be perfect
like a god.

"The entire Catholic economy is ordered toward this goal. Through her Scripture and Tradition, her governance and her sacraments, the Catholic Church alone teaches, rules and sanctifies to effect the perfection of man through union with God." CatholicCulture.org

cult;
a religious group which promotes worship of a human leader and devotion of one's life to a specific purpose.

That's what Christianity is. They worship a
human, Jesus, there is no evidence he is
divine, as there is no evidence god exists.

You were made by God and for God, it's no use fighting against your nature. The evidence is you. Both the evidence for the reality of the supernatural and for God are found in all of us. We all long for no more suffering or pain, no more sorrow or grief, we desire justice and perfection, we all desire true happiness, peace, joy, and most importantly love.

It's no use YOU fighting it, you mean.
I don't fight it, I totally reject it. I have
no desire to be perfect like a god. Talk
about the original Peter Principle bummer.

'We all eventually rise to the level of our own incompetence.'

As a Christian, you get to arrive there
immediately. Congrats..

I think you're mistaking humans for
Pinocchio. He was made by a puppet
god, Gestapo, for his use. We are not
puppets. Well, some of us are not, anyway.

I had to laugh a little bit with your typo here. When the secular world fails to see that the nature of every human being is made in the image and likeness of God and destined for perfection - it leads to things like the Gestapo. Without God you can start to see human beings as worse than puppets, but as tools to use for your own advantage or to destroy and throw away. It is one of the many dangerous and destructive results of atheism.

However, if you recognize the God given dignity of every human being you must respect their freedom. You must honor in everyone the dignity of human life that is theirs and reject any attempt to control them, use them, or hurt them.

Destructive results. Like forcing people to
convert, or miniscule representation in the
prison population.

Catholics would never attempt to control
people, that would be wrong. You can't
be serious.

Is that why thousands of Catholic Poles volunteered to kill Jews at various extermination camps?

People are people, regardless of their religion. Some Christians are good people, some are bad, regardless of their beliefs.

Why they did it was probably because of the brainwashing and forced command of the Atheistic government.

No, I was more referring to the bloodiest century in the history of the world.
