I've found men who have no interest in women
to share two qualities. They're cheap and lazy.
Women are expensive and a lot of work, ask
any married man. I don't blame those men,
makes life a lot simpler. Here I am living up
to Babs opinion of me, but I find women to
be not very interesting companions. Nareed
is the exception, she is interesting, but she
has an advantage. The best of both worlds.

Not to disagree. I've never met anybody who professed to be asexual.

Well it is a terrible thing to say. Even "Sex and the City" celebrated men with a shoe fetish as perfectly acceptable to women (since most women have something like a shoe fetish automatically) . But asexual is about as off-putting as anything.

But I imagine many people don't have sex with their spouses. Certainly a lot of women seem content with battery toys. A lot of people eat.

Last stat I read was 75% of married couples
have no sex at all. Most of it is happening
in the under 35 group. Married sex is boring,
always has been.

We were discussing before about the death of the actress who voiced Mrs. Wolowitz. For those of you who missed it, they wrote the character's death into the show the last episode.

It would be difficult to believe that they won't write in the death of Leonard Nimoy.

Many fans seem to indulge in Penny and Sheldon fantasy, obviously ignoring his orientation. Surprisingly the couple has more fans than Penny and Leonard (Kaley and John had a real relationship) .

The last episode indulged these fans by putting Penny and Sheldon in an intimate but nonphysical situation. Ratings are still down from last year, but not enough to knock them off their #1 spot.

The magic of TBBT seems to be working well on "The Odd Couple (TOC)" which follows them. TOC has almost displaced Modern Family as the #2 sitcom. I did see the premier of TOC, and it seemed almost too faithful to the original series. But perhaps that is what people want.

The original TOC series hasn't been on
TV much in the last 15 years, there's
a whole generation not familiar with
it.

As an aside, the best comic acter on
Modern Fam is Ed O'neil. His timing
and delivery and facial expressions
are always perfect. The intonation of
his voice, his body language. He's
not quite Al Bundy, but sometimes
he is. When he's irritated with his
loud mouthed wife, he's Al Bundy
with Peg.

Ed O'Neil is now getting a big slice of the back end. Sofia is the powerhouse money maker in endorsements, but Ed should do OK. The cast is ted up for this year and two more years, but by then their salary demands probably will prevent them from making a season #9.

Although you might think TBBT had high salary, there are only 3 principal actors instead of 6. They don't have the ratings of Friends a decade ago that allowed them to be paid $1 million/episode * 6 actors for the last two years.

The nice thing about Modern Family is with 3 individual families they should be able to pull off a spin-off without any trouble. Most of the major sitcoms created a spin-off. With the exception of Frasier, most of the spin-offs don't do as well as the original series.

I wonder what it would be. The two Gay guys
and the Asian kid and Manny could all live
together. That would be funny. They are
the most talented, besides Ed. His wife
can't be anything like she is on the show,
you'd kill her in a week. She's Lucy Ricardo
and Peg Bundy on steroids. Peg wore high
heels all the time too.

ST:TOS is on every Saturday on Me Tv, that broadcast tv rerun network.

Yesterday, they played Amok Time, the first episode with "live long and prosper." I watched the very same episode earlier in the day on Netflix.

On that network today, they had a Columbo with Nimoy in it.

They keep showing this episode from Man from U.N.C.L.E. that had both Shatner and Nimoy (1964)

Before Star Trek Nimoy worked in TV for 15 years, but only managed to appear in three series more than three times, but never as the same character.
