I haven't watched TBBT this year. just lost interest.

I stopped 3 seasons ago, it all looked
the same, just variations of the same
theme. Even when I see a bit of a rerun
it's just not fresh anymore. I can watch
reruns of Modern Family over and over,
but haven't seen a single new ep this
season. It's just not funny anymore
now that the kids are adults.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

I haven't watched Modern Family in a couple of years. I don't think it ever got "bad" (from where I watched up to), I just kind of got bored with it.

I was in Vegas MLK weekend 2014 when they were filming the Vegas themed episode in Mandalay Bay. I got to see them film a blackjack scene close up. Julie Bowen seemed like she was on drugs. Very erratic acting and she couldn't stand still.

Modern family never really grabbed me.

I see some re-runs occasionally, and there is usually some funny stuff in there, but I have never made a habit of watching it, either the new ones or the reruns.

http://tvline.com/2017/02/28/the-big-bang-theory-renewed-season-11-contract-mayim-bialik-melissa-rauch/

Quote:
The show’s five other main cast members — Jim Parsons (Sheldon), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Johnny Galecki (Leonard), Simon Helberg (Howard) and Kunal Nayyar (Raj) — all currently make $1 million per episode, while Bialik and Rauch, who both joined in Season 3, make just (“just”) $200,000 per episode. The Variety report says the original five actors volunteered to cut their per-episode fee by $100,000 each to free up money to give Bialik and Rauch a raise.

The fact that the main cast is willing to take pay cuts tells me this renewal will happen. That ain't playing hardball...

I am ready for the show to end as I believe the shark is nearing.

I could definitely see this show spinning off.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

It really kind of stalled for a few years, where the storylines weren't moving forward. The one exception were Howard and Bernadette. Now they need a few more seasons to catch up.

What I'd like to see is Amy and Sheldon ten years from now, when their kid out-Sheldons Sheldon :)

I believe there is already a spin off in development about a young Sheldon.

Didn't that run in Cartoon Network years ago, called "Dexter's Lab"?
