Good, because this season wasn't inching towards a satisfying conclusion. The "young Sheldon" series is also happening, with old Sheldon playing narrator. I cringe when I think about it. I also think it was already done as Dexter's Lab in Cartoon network. Come on, Dexter wore gloves at all times! Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Unfortunately the transmission kept freezing for 15-30 seconds sporadically, SO I missed about 1/4 or so of each show. They'll both be rerun today, hopefully I can catch what I missed. TBBT 17.65 million viewers for the premier season 11 15.82 million viewers for the premier season 10 18.20 million viewers for the premier season 9 18.08 million viewers for the premier season 8 18.99 million viewers for the premier season 7 The first five years the show was ranked #68, #40, #12, #13, #8 and I think it was David Letterman who joked that people were going to see a 50 year old Sheldon Jim Parsons was aghast about how horrible that would be, but he is now age 44. The last five years the show was ranked #3, #2,#2,#2,#2 This year's season premier of NCIS had 13.29 million viewers, so it looks like TBBT will remain the most watched scripted show on TV behind Sunday Night Football. |

I've seen the first two eps of Young Sheldon. It's ok, but not to the level of TBBT. besides, it has a lot of continuity to keep. Not that TBBT keeps all continuity well. Example: in one ep Sheldon claims he doesn't dance(*). In another he says he took dance lessons and is an expert at various kinds of dances (and he demonstrates this). (*) For some reason there's a related dialogue about multiple universes each containing a Sheldon Cooper, and this happens: Penny: Are you fun in any of them? Sheldon: The math suggests in some I'm a clown made of candy. But I don't dance. Little things, but something a veteran Trekkie would notice. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |
