I assume that it comes from cabeza, which means head, as in "he has a good head on his shoulders." So, I assume it could also mean to be at the top of something, as in I'm at the head of the line. When do you use the following forms? encabezo encabecé encabece Google Translate: Gilligan leads the team to look for bananas Gilligan lidera el equipo para buscar plátanos Gilligan dirige el equipo en busca de los plátanos dirigir = to direct liderar = to lead (actually one of those rare Spanish words that comes from English) |

Well, encabezar is not a transitive verb, therefore "a" is the wrong preposition to use. So: encabeza el equipo que busca plátanos. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |
