They are to me. I'll support any candidate who favors ending the war on drugs, in because it supports violence in Mexico and Columbia. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

You know it supports plenty of violence in America, too, don't you? Street gangs don't have wars and shootings over whose colors are coolest. Then there's the whole problem of mass incarceration for even minor and non-violent drug offenses. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

I assume that it comes from cabeza, which means head, as in "he has a good head on his shoulders." So, I assume it could also mean to be at the top of something, as in I'm at the head of the line. Ejemplo time. Gilligan encabeza el equipo a buscar plátanos. = Gilligan is heading the team to look for bananas. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

Yes it does. Irregular verb trivia. When do you use the following forms? encabezo encabecé encabece Google Translate: Gilligan leads the team to look for bananas Gilligan lidera el equipo para buscar plátanos Gilligan dirige el equipo en busca de los plátanos dirigir = to direct liderar = to lead (actually one of those rare Spanish words that comes from English) |

Well, encabezar is not a transitive verb, therefore "a" is the wrong preposition to use. So: encabeza el equipo que busca plátanos. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

I assume it is related to the verb virar, which means to turn. The assignment for the advanced readers is to compare and and contrast viraje y giro. Ejemplo time Debería haber hecho un viraje a la izquierda a Albuquerque. = I should have made a left turn at Albuquerque. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |
