ANTONIO BANDERAS
Desperado Lyrics

Soy un hombre muy honrado,
que me gusta lo mejor,
las mujeres no me faltan ni el dinero ni el amor.
jineteando en mi caballo,
por la sierra yo me voy,
las estrellas y la luna ellas me dicen
donde voy.

Ay ay ay ay,
ay ay mi amor,
ay mi morena
de mi corazón.

Me gusta tocar guitarra,
me gusta cantar el sol,
el mariachi me acompaña
cuando canto mi canción.

Me gusta tomar mis copas,
aguardiente es lo mejor,
tambien el tequila blanco con su sal le da
sabor.

Ay ay ay ay,
ay ay ay amor,
ay mi morena
de mi corazan.

Me gusta tocar guitarra,
me gusta cantar el sol,
el mariachi me acompaña,
cuando canto mi canción.

Me gusta tomar mis copas,
aguardiente es lo mejor,
tambien el tequila blanco con su sal le da
sabor.

Thanks. I didn't have internet when I was trying to get it translated, only some mariachi fans who apparently were as hard of hearing as I.

It hadn't dawned on me to search Google. Slaps forehead.

Dama y rey mismo color: 74 to 1.
Dama y rey distinto color: 29 to 1.

Based on the same side bet in the UK, what they mean by "color" is actually suit. So, if you wanted to add a pay for a king and queen of the same color but not the same suit, how would you say it in Spanish?

Looking up the translation for "suits"I get:
palos · trajes · demandas · juicios · pleitos · procesos · peticiones

so I am surprised by the translation. But clearly the casino means "suit" and not "color" or the payout is way too high.

The translation of a flush, as in the poker hand, is also color. Rather confusing.

Needless to point out that the official language of the four provinces Barcelona, Girona, Lleida, and Tarragona (7.5 million) is Catalan and not Spanish. I doubt very much anyone on this forum will be able to help.

Let it Go in Catalan with lyrics written in Catalan, Spanish, and English.

And again in Latin American Spanish

It should come as no surprise I saw a lot of Catalan in Barcelona. Most public signage was in Catalan. However, privately-owned signage, like the baccarat table, was in Spanish.

I take Catalan to have mostly Spanish and French influence. At times, when trying to make sense of something in writing, I wasn't sure if it was in Catalan or my Spanish was more awful than I thought. A good hint you're reading Catalan is a lot of the letter x. Going off the top of my head, the only words in Spanish I can think of with an x are Mexico and Talxcala.

Old Spanish used x to mark the Spanish the h sound. For example, Texas would be Tejas in modern orthography. Historically, the Spanish h sound was the sh sound. In Mexico, Nahuatl words with the sh sound were written with x, for example, xochitl ('flower') is pronounced approximately shochitl. After the sound change in Spanish, Mexican place names of Nahuatl and other indigenous origin underwent the same change because they were now Spanish words. The spelling remained the same.

Catalan is not a dialect of Spanish or French, but a language that developed independently out of the vulgar Latin spoken by the Romans. The arrival of hundreds of thousands of immigrants from Spain's impoverished south further consolidated the use of Spanish as the lingua franca of Catalonia. Most of these immigrants, or their children at least, have come to understand and or speak Catalan since democracy was restored in 1978. However, large-scale immigration from Latin America over the past 10 years means just over half the Catalan population claim Spanish as their mother tongue.

Where my ancestors are from near Salamanca, few hardy souls (and a distant cousin who is a university professor) still speak Leonese which is a set of vernacular Romance dialects spoken in the northern and western portions of the historical region of León in Spain. The old Kingdom of Leon is still preserved in the regional name of "Castile and León" (pop 2.5 million).

I do not have a FB account, and the pictures although not HQ, show well.
