I weigh about 210 and I can barely manage 200lbs on the bench, squats about 260 but I have bad knees and a bad back. Then again, I'm no power lifter, I'm more of a bodybuilder (light). I have recently gone off the heavy weights and started to concentrate more on super sets. I'm trying to lose some fat around my muscle as I'm pretty sure I would look good without the fat :) As long as I can stay healthy I'll be happy. You guys are powerhouses!!!! |

A powerlifter wears a shirt and ties his shoes. A powerlifter also doesn't strain that much to get a 365 deadlift. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

This is what I envisioned Ace looking like, I should have said. Now he looks like a NY lawyer. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Nareed Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 346 Posts: 12545 | I've been wondering whether I should be take up working out with weights on my own, as I've done with cardio, or perhaps join a gym for a month or two, or hire a personal trainer for a few sessions. The latter options are only to get enough instruction to keep going on my own afterwards. There are several gyms nearby, and I'd only go there on weekends anyway. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

I'm not sure how important it is in weight training compared to other things, but one advantage of a trainer in anything new, is you won't start developing bad habits right away. LIke bad form. I often wish I had hired a club golf pro before ever playing instead of picking up bad habits there. Then, unless you stumbled on a quirky advantage you have to unlearn something that already felt natural to you. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |
