Not surprising at all. Siberia is a huge place and very empty. Fires are a good thing, cleans out the deadwood.

missedhervee Member since: Apr 23, 2021 Threads: 96 Posts: 3099	It says the smoke is drifting to the arctic / north pole. I wonder whether that would trap heat, causing arctic temps to rise, or prevent the usual amount of sunlight from hitting the ground, causing them to fall?

They only have records for 70 years so you naysayers don't have to bother to look it up that we don't have records for a billion years.
