And yet ski resorts in the Sierra and
Rockies are still open. Any GW whack

is burning up is record cold. LOLOL

I'm really glad it's not in the teens outside. We've usually had a dozen or more days over 112. Just past the anniversary of the 127* day here in Havasu. Whatever it's doing it's getting better and I'm liking it.

Even if the sea level rises and people have to move uphill, it's not my fault and I refuse to panic.

I'm 60
No panic from me and I'm in Fl
But
I feel bad for the younger generation that will have to deal with the rising sea levels
My house is fine but will definitely closer to the coast for the next owner

I remember when zebra mussels were to be the end of the world's largest freshwater fishery. Turns out they did cause untold millions in damage to industry, but did for the natural world what billions in capitol could never do, and that's turn the joke of flammable-water Great Lakes into one of the most beautiful and productive resources in the country. Big oof on that one.

But some your post is otherwise quite simplistic. Not to defend all, because several were complete misses, but it ignores the fact that for a lot of these serious issues, serious efforts were made to correct them. Acid rain didn't "turn out to be no big deal". We passed emissions legislation to erase it and so it went away. Loss of ozone was not "no big deal". We passed CFC legislation to erase it and it went away. 60s, 70s and 80s oil IS gone. We just invented new technologies to enable access to previously unknown sources. 2019 conditions under 1969 technology may very well show us many of these are or were right; look to the advances in GMO and irrigation technologies since then...

Everyone, especially the fiercely pro-environment, should be wary of charlatans and hoodwinks using your emotions for profit. No doubt. But their dishonor does not dishonor the information. That's throwing out the baby with the bath water.
Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it.

I've been on the water all my life and the tides come twice a day like clockwork, same high tide, same low tide. Every month it comes up on the road at high tide over several days over and over again but it just doesn't get any higher now than it did fifty years ago. Maybe Florida is simply sinking and that's why the water appears to be rising.

Considering how many more people live there than a generation ago it probably is sinking. If not for being attached all the Cubans that came to Miami in the 1960s might have tipped it over entirely.

The "concern" about "tipping over" reminded me of this video of one of the top democrat scholars currently in congress:

You look outside to determine if there is climate change
I was raised by a geologist. I respect science.
I am certainly no expert
I listen to the scientists
Its like my health. I feel perfectly fine and healthy
yet
I listen to my DR and really trying to change my diet cutting out sugar, soft drinks, junk food and trying to eat more fruits and veggies
I do all this even though I feel perfectly fine because I respect science

I drive a Prius, I was one who always made fun of the Prius crowd, I used to like Trucks and muscle cars, until I got one and now spend about 15USD a month on gas (and I drive quite often). That being said I don't support gas tax or inflated gas pricing to encourage fuel efficiency, because those taxes always effect the poor disproportionately.
