I don't expect anyone to really care too much. It hardly effects the US or Canada (in fact, I believe the triggering of Brexit makes the UK much less important in the world in general).

I don't care though I always found it interesting that a party in power can just call for new elections.

Brexit making the UK less important? Hardly, it makes them more important. Instead of being just part of a bloc and having to go the bloc's way the Brits can become more of a financial center. Free to make deals with anyone. Free to keep out budget-sapping refugees.

London was a financial centre. Lack of access to the Eurozone is already making businesses look to move out of the city. Possibly that will reverse, but evidence right now suggests that Brexit is bad for the international finance business. Britain had a fair amount of power within the bloc.

As for 'budget sapping refugees', it's a minimal part of the budget. The UK spends a one billion a year already on enforcing border controls, which will stay the same or go upwards. This is from a total expenditure of 750 billion per year. The cost of refugees and border controls are hardly a ghood or bad reason to be part of the EU, or not to be part of it. The ideology of more or less border control may be. Issue is, with EU exit, a lot of the free pass across borders of EU citizens goes away, and that ability to transfer the work force around the EU was a useful part of the free market. Adding extra controls will cost money, and make it less likely that London is attractive as a financial center.

Basically, I don't think there's a clear economic argument to be made there. That's okay, lots of politics is not about the economics anyways.

Luckily, Americans are about as fascinated
with Brit politics as we are with Brit soccer.
That is, not at all. We fart crossways and
it's all over Brit front pages. We like the
Royals, that's about it.

The media dubbed him the 'Trump Slayer',
he was going to get elected in a landslide
in the 6th district of Georgia. Hollywood
poured in millions in support, they had
a ground game like no other. Samuel
Jackson had a devastating anti Trump
ad running. This election would prove
Republicans have regretted electing
Trump and show 2018 will be a windfall
for the Dems.

The Dems lost, of course, the Right loves
Trump, Osaff lost by 7300 votes. He doesn't
have a chance in the runoff, he's up against
a very popular woman and 7300 voters
won't change their mind at this stage. And
a heck of a lot of Dems won't even vote.

I heard one report on the KS race where the Dems counted on "disgust" about what Trump is doing. They think everyone thinks like they do, same as they did when McGovern lost. Same story all the time.

O'Reilly is out at 9pm, Tucker Carlson is in.
O'Reilly would piss me off because he
would never outright condemn Obama
because if he did, Obama would never
come back on his show. Tucker has no
such problems. He's getting better
ratings in Megyn the Skanks time slot
than she did, let's see if he can outdo
O'Reilly.

California again leads list with 6 of the top 10 most polluted U.S. cities

Despite the place being made for air pollution, it always amazes me how CA with all their draconian laws still ends up the most polluted place in the USA. Hard to imagine how awful it had to be in the 1960s.

Apparently after Aaron Hernandez died, because his first conviction was still under appeal, he died un-convicted of any murder.
