Those drivers need to be in shape actually. Not like they are setting the cruise and turning on the A/C like in a Caravan.

As to money they bring in, I would say it is no slouch.

Some driver, I forget who, described being in a race car like this:

"Go outside on a 90 degree day and get in your car. Then turn the heart on, turn the radio to full blast, and have someone belt you in until you can barely breathe. Then tighten the harness more. Sit that way for 3 hours straight, no breaks."
