it is not all that hard to tell the difference between the shift worker and the lumps EB is describing.

It's insulting that people think I
can't tell the difference between
unemployed/unemployables and
shift workers. I hired people for
years, I can spot the difference
a mile away. Go to any Greyhound
bus station and you'll see the exact
same people.

Restaurants, theaters, bars, gas stations, convenience stores, supermarkets, chain stores like Walmart, Kmart, etc, and even the Malls stay open till 9 usually. Not to mention, police, fire departments, hospitals, small care clinics, and security people work all night.

What planet do you people live on who think workers aren't there in the days. On top of that lot of people work weekends and have days in the middle of the week off instead.

Ever notice business are open on weekends?! Wtf.

I helped out at our west coast office once many years ago
A lot of shifts started at 5am due to east coast time difference and many clients on the east coast
The 5A to 130pm shift was very popular. Get the whole afternoon off

I don't think anybody is saying that. It's that generalization thing. Not EVERYONE at Tire Kingdom at 11am is a shiftless bum, for example.

Hyperbole challenges people to point out instances where it's wrong.
Never doubt a small group of concerned citizens can change the world; it's the only thing ever has

I said a couple of them were
probably drug dealers, judging
from their bling and their cars.
That's a form of employment.
Or pimps, a dealer and a pimp.
Employed entrepreneurs.

Actually, this is what you said.

I now consider drug dealer and pimp
to be jobs, kinda sorta. Also shoplifter,
professional welfare and food stamp recipient,
mugger. For these people, those are jobs.
So it was full employment all around.

Gutfeld was funny tonight. He said 'all week
I was planning on talking about the Wolff
book and now we have this': (plays a 15 sec
montage of CNN and MS saying the word
'shithole' over and over). Gutfeld says
the Wolff book seems so long ago it's from
the 90's now.

He's right, I have forgotten about it, so has
everybody else. The meltdown the Left is
having over a word is the funniest and most
entertaining thing I've seen in awhile. Like
Gutfeld says, if you live in NYC, you use
or hear that word every day. The phony outrage
is comical.

He even qualified it with "for the most part." Still we got a bunch of people acting like SJWs. Talking as if he needed to go around the room and tell each story one by one. He made a general (GOD FORBID!) and correct point about what he saw.

I mean, this sounds like if he called out a guy hanging on the corner selling dope, the dealer would be defended as "how do you know he is not just waiting for a bus and people in cars know him and slow down to just say 'hello?'"

And what evidence backs up his assertion that the people he saw, for the most part, had no job anywhere?

The evidence he presented is there were black people there at 11am who were familiar with a game show and had a certain "look", and the conclusion he drew on no further information is that most of them had no job and two of them got their income from drugs?

No, he didn't go around the room asking them their stories. He didn't even talk to one of them. He didn't mention hearing any of them complaining about not having a job, or how the drug sales were going.

No, he assumed that black people at 11am who were familiar with a game show were unemployed car owners who were buying new tires.
