Two stories today. They arrested a guy at one port for pushing his wife overboard. On another ship a woman is missing and nobody knows where she even went into the sea. These cruises are nothing like they were 25 years ago, I wouldn't go if it was free. It's the same people you see in a cheap Vegas casino. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Good! I love Steve Wynn's properties. They're beautiful. The article says it'll be his fourth hotel. Wynn and Encore, what's the third? “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

To answer my own question, I forgot he's building another tower by his new lagoon. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Wasn't it Wynn who built the Mirage and then sold it. Its a battle to build the attractions and then have those attractions fill everyone else's hotel rooms while they visit your volcano but stay and perhaps play elsewhere, So now its going to be both a Stay here and a Play here atmosphere with that lagoon keeping paying guests happy and gawkers will have to pay rental fees for their amusement. |

Steve said a few years back that the days of that Volcano are over, and now you put the good stuff *inside* to get people in the door. For the exact reason you say. One thing about modern Vegas is it can be just so much about walk here see this, walk there see that. It is down to what, 5% or less of people who enter a resort put anything on the felt or in a slot? Notice that there will be some kind of skyway so the guests do not even have to cross the strip. I think I will keep preferring Freemont Street. The President is a fink. |

Mirage, TI, and the Bellagio. I just stayed at the Bellagio last weekend. MGM doesn't keep it in nearly as good as shape as Wynn did. That's what I love about Steve Wynn's properties. They are so well maintained. Everything is cleaned all the time. One of the dealers at the Wynn once told me they replace the carpets all the time in the casino because Steve Wynn demands it. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |
