Skeptics criticize sea level studies based on tide gauges because the data is inconsistent and needs to be adjusted for shifting shorelines and inconsistent time periods of data collection. Then when you point to a study based on satellite measurements they try to refute it with data from two cherry picked tide gauges. (The article also misstates the conclusion of the satellite study more than double). The mind hungers for that on which it feeds. |

Skeptics criticize it because we do not even know what "normal" is or where we relate to it. Sea levels and climate have changed for billions of years. Only now are people arrogant enough to think humans can control it. The President is a fink. |

It's s matter of rate of change that correlates with rapid increase in Co2 concentration. 20 years ago I was more skeptical and felt that more study was needed. Not anymore. The mind hungers for that on which it feeds. |
